Feira do Cavalo in Ponte de Lima: a July weekend of horses, tradition and Minho life
At the beginning of July, Ponte de Lima becomes closely linked to the world of horses for a few days. From 2 to 5 July 2026, the XVIII Feira do Cavalo is planned at Expolima — an event that brings together equestrian culture, local tradition and the everyday life of the Minho region.
For visitors, it is more than a horse fair. Around the venue you find riders, families, breeders, spectators and people from the area. There are presentations, competitions, encounters and the kind of summer atmosphere Ponte de Lima does well: long evenings, walks by the Lima River and a slower pace than in the larger cities.
