Summer evenings with music in Ponte de Lima: Percursos da Música 2026
In summer, Ponte de Lima is at its best outdoors. As the heat of the day softens, people return to the streets, the historic centre becomes livelier, and the evening starts to feel unhurried.
From 19 July to 2 August 2026, the 16th Festival Percursos da Música fits naturally into that rhythm. The municipality of Ponte de Lima is organising free open-air concerts in selected locations in the historic centre of Ponte de Lima and in Arcozelo.
The programme moves through different musical styles, from classical and art music to contemporary sounds. The setting matters too: the concerts are held outdoors, in places chosen to work with the architecture and atmosphere of the town.
For guests visiting Northern Portugal, the festival is a good reason to spend a summer evening in town — a drink, a walk through the old streets, and music before returning to a quieter base.
A simple summer plan
For families or friends travelling together, the day can stay easy: a morning outing, an afternoon break at the holiday home, then Ponte de Lima in the evening. In July and August, that rhythm often works better than trying to fill every hour.
